Yucatan hoteliers predict a good closing of 2019 and a promising 2020 for this sector, due to the “Tianguis Turístico” and other events that will take place next year.
Yucatan has become an example in tourism and a reference for the organization of major events. The World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, that took place just a month ago and brought together thousands of people at the International Congress Center facilities, was a big success.
In that sense, the head of the Mexican Association of Hotels in Yucatan, Héctor Navarrete Medina, said that 2020 comes with great expectations for the city of Mérida and the rest of the state in terms of Tourism.
In that sense, he concluded that, by 2020, new hotels will be opening, which will complement the demand; Navarrete Medina spoke about a total of 1,500 new rooms to be inaugurated next year.
He said that one of the advantages of Yucatan is that it has a wide range of tourist attractions to satisfy all different kind of travelers.
“Today tourism in Yucatan is going better than ever, and our region has a great demand, both with national and international tourists. We are positive that our tourism infrasctructure will keep growing and more companies will invest in our state.”
