Governor Mauricio Vila announces construction of a new Heineken plant in Kanasín, Yucatan

Attracted by the competitive advantages of Yucatán, important companies continue to choose the state to invest and bring jobs closer to Yucatecan families, such as Heineken, which, as announced by Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, will install a brewing plant in the municipality of Kanasín, which It will represent an investment of 8.7 billion pesos and the creation of more than 2,000 jobs, both direct and indirect.

Accompanied by the CEO of HEINEKEN Mexico, Guillaume Duverdier, and the Secretary of Economy of the Government of Mexico, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, the Governor announced this good news, which will detonate the economy and opportunities in the interior of the state, as has been the vision of its state administration.

In this regard, Guillaume Duverdier stated that Yucatan was chosen because of the opportunities it offers, being a state with unique beauty, an important availability of resources, and a great road and port connection, which makes it an ideal option.

He recognized the coordinated work that the authorities of Mexico, Yucatan, and the entire southeast are carrying out to make it an attractive area for investments that generate development, an impulse to which the brewing company adds. For this reason, he reiterated Heineken’s trust and commitment are firm in Yucatán and the southeast of the country.

When giving his message, the Governor stated that this good news is the result of two years of efforts and coordinated work with the three levels of Government to make Yucatán the ideal place for the arrival of this investment.
