Consumers in Mexico will have access to Juan Valdez’s portfolio, which includes beverages, pastries, and premium coffee.
Juan Valdez has confirmed its arrival in Mexico with a new location in Mérida, the capital of Yucatán state.
Mérida is one of the most visited areas in the country due to its tourist attractions and historical significance.
According to Kantar, coffee consumption in Mexico averages 1.7 kilograms per capita. This presents a significant opportunity for Juan Valdez, which aims to offer Colombian-origin coffees in this market and establish a robust expansion plan across multiple cities in Mexico over the next five years.
Sebastián Mejía, the brand’s international vice president, emphasized that Mexico’s strategic location and global popularity make it an economy with enormous potential for Juan Valdez’s business. The brand aims to connect with local consumers through its 100% Colombian premium coffee and the distinctive experience that has always characterized the brand.
At the new Mexican location, consumers will have access to Juan Valdez’s portfolio, which includes espresso-based beverages, filtered coffee, frappés, local and Colombian pastries, and premium packaged coffee. The store will also offer branded items such as mugs and thermoses.
This opening marks the 589th store worldwide for Juan Valdez. The brand’s expansion strengthens its presence in Spanish-speaking countries and reaffirms its commitment to the 548 coffee-growing families in Colombia, celebrating their work and creating more opportunities to share their 100% Colombian premium coffee with the entire world.”
