More than an hour’s drive from Merida, Celestun is not just an estuary inhabited by pink flamingos. Within its reserve, there is a beach area that has also been considered a refuge for fauna, in addition to other natural attractions, such as the Baldiosera spring where you can swim and dive, or the freshwater spring known as Cambay and Tambor Spring, where pink or Caribbean flamingos gather year after year.

In Celestun, there is one of the most important ecological reserves in the state, “El Palmar”. At night you can take a night walk and enjoy the tranquility of the place. There you can also climb the highest lighthouse in Yucatan, an ideal spot for photographs.
