What does the Mayan Train look like inside?

This model in question has a capacity for 230 passengers and its colors evoke the route it will travel: the sea and the jungle. For this reason, the upholstery of their seats are blue; It has designs reminiscent of the jaguar, an endemic animal to the region and a symbol of power in Mayan culture.

The Mayan Train, which launched job vacancies months ago, will have wagons with windows and panoramic screens so that its passengers can enjoy the beautiful landscapes throughout the journey to their destination. Meanwhile, on the driver’s cabin the color white and gray are combined with the logo of the project.

On the outside, this first wagon is white with flag green piping, which also represents the jungle. It should be noted that his arrival means a historic event for the country, since it is an idea that comes from the six-year term of the former president of Mexico Carlos Salinas de Gortari.
