The two Veracruzans accused of the death of two French businessmen residing in Valladolid, Yucatán, were linked to the process for the crime of qualified homicide committed in a gang, denounced after the double homicide that occurred last August in a hotel they owned located in the Candelaria neighborhood of the aforementioned town, for which reason they will remain under the precautionary measure of preventive detention.
During the hearing held this day at the Valladolid Oral Justice Center, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) said that it provided the evidence of criminal case 122/2022, which allowed obtaining the order linking the process of both defendants and also grant a period of six months to close the complementary investigation.
It is worth remembering that during the initial hearing, this social representation established that between August 25 and 29, the defendants entered the property located on 48th street of the aforementioned neighborhood, where a hotel owned by the victims (Michael Amado and Assya Madjodur), whom they had previously met. Both criminals attacked the two foreigners, causing the death of both, and then fled using means owned by the deceased.
Lastly, the precautionary measure granted at the initial hearing is ratified, which will remain in force throughout the duration of the process and which consists of informal preventive detention, for which both defendants remain deprived of their liberty.
