What is the alcohol limit allowed to drive in Yucatan?
In accordance with article 328 of the Regulations of the Traffic and Highway Law of the State of Yucatan, drivers with a blood alcohol level (BAC) greater than 0.080 milligrams per 100 milliliters, or alcohol in expired air ( ACBr) greater than 0.40 milligrams/liter”.

To find out what alcohol concentration a drink has, this platform uses the Standard Drink Unit (UBE). A drink or cup contains a fixed amount of pure alcohol, but there are variations depending on the type of drink; in the case of giant jars, yards or loggerheads are equivalent to 3 standard drinks.
What is the ‘standard drink’ in Mexico?
The standard drink (TE) or standard drink unit (UBE) is a unit of measure that defines the pure alcohol content in one measure, a value that is declared in grams.
In Mexico, a standard drink has a value of 13 grams, which is equivalent to 16 milliliters of pure alcohol.

Article 331 of the Regulations of the Yucatan Traffic and Highway Law indicates that “in the event that the result of the tests and analyzes referred to in the previous article is positive, the officers will proceed to the immediate immobilization of the vehicle ”.based on the already mentioned rates of alcohol in the blood or expired air will be subject to sanctions such as a fine classified as serious and the immobilization of the vehicle in case there is no other person to drive.
