President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has been infected with covid-19 for the third time. On his Twitter account, the federal president has reported that a test has been carried out and has tested positive for coronavirus.
The politician had been out of Mexico City since Friday, on a tour of Veracruz, Quintana Roo, and Yucatán, mainly to supervise the progress of the construction of one of the most important works of his administration: the Mayan Train.
In the message, he asserted that his situation is not serious and stressed that his heart is in good condition. López Obrador makes this clarification because, since 2013, when he had a heart attack protesting against the energy reform, he has had heart problems.
The 69-year-old from Tabasco has announced in the publication that he is back in the country’s capital and that he is celebrating the 16th birthday of his youngest son, Jesús Ernesto, “from afar.”
“I’ll save myself a few days. Adán Augusto López Hernández will lead the morning sessions. See you soon ”, he indicated at the end of the publication.
