A strong fire consumed a yacht in the port of refuge in Dzilam de Bravo on this Thursday morning.
According to reported information, the boat had been there for five years as it was undergoing repairs.
Eyewitnesses said that around 6 am this day some fishermen noticed that the 59-foot long yacht was on fire. Upon seeing the magnitude of the fire, the fishermen and the person in charge notified the emergency numbers by calling 911.
The first to arrive were municipal police officers who took knowledge of the incident; later, firefighters arrived and battled the blaze.
On social media, videos have been shared showing the yacht fire in Dzilam de Bravo, with columns of smoke visible and the vehicle left carbonized.
