Get ready for a thrilling weekend of Mexican wrestling as the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (World Wrestling Council) brings its highly anticipated “Batalla del Sureste” event to the Yucatecan capital.
On Tuesday, April 1st, event organizers and local officials gathered at the Placita del Mercado Lucas de Gálvez for a press conference to unveil the impressive lineup of wrestlers set to clash in Mérida. The event promises epic battles, high-flying moves, and unforgettable moments that will leave fans cheering.
The main event will feature two of Mexico’s top stars: Místico, known as the King of Silver and Gold, and his partner Máscara Dorada, taking on Último Guerrero and Hechicero in a bid for glory. Despite an injury, Místico has confirmed his presence at the event.
Other notable matches include:
* Atlantis and Magnus facing off against “Los Hermanos Chávez” (Ángel de Oro and Niebla Roja) in the semifinal bout.
* The Battle of the Southeast will pit representatives from Veracruz against those from Yucatán, with teams like the “Fashion Dolls” (Rayo de Plata, Aztlán XIII, Fantastic) facing off against the “Huracanes de Mina” (Azhor, Espíritu Celestial, Príncipe Vampiro).
* One-knockout matches will feature Zaccut ‘El Paya Zombie’ and Mercurio taking on JPD and Black Monster.
* A solo match between Shangay Kid and Karcinoz will kick off the event.
