Yucatecan businessman Arturo Millet Reyes was arrested on Monday, April 27, on the Mérida Periferico, pursuant to an arrest warrant for alleged contempt of court for failing to fulfill a financial obligation.

The arrest was made as part of an ongoing legal process.

The operation took place at 10:20 a.m., specifically at kilometer 8.5, near a machinery company. Agents from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) carried out the arrest and transferred the detainee to the state of Nuevo León to continue with the corresponding legal process.

It has been reported that Millet Reyes is linked to several allegations of fraud totaling over 200 million pesos. The businessman’s legal status will be determined by the judicial authorities in each of the cases filed against him.
