Mérida, Yucatán, (December 9, 2021) – The Courtyard By Marriott Mérida Downtown hotel operated by Grupo Presidente, which recently opened last April, now comes up with a totally different proposal for the “White City”, the Asian cuisine restaurant Kioyu Skylounge, located on the hotel rooftop.

Fried Rice with Vegetables

In partnership with the renowned Yucatecan Chef Pedro Evia, Kioyu Skylounge offers spectacular views of the city in a relaxed and fun atmosphere and an extensive menu of dishes featuring Thai, Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisines.

With its privileged location on the corner of Colón and Calle 62, Kioyu is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner, or simply to sip on a cocktail while watching the sunset.

The recipes on the menu were meticulously created by Chef Evia, and among the dishes, we can mention Bao buns, vegetarian steamed wheat flour rolls, pork belly, short rib, and shrimp tempura

Rolls of tuna, smoked eel and salmon sushi

Gyozas Chinese dumplings stuffed with short rib or ground beef with vegetables;

Selection of Singapore and Hong Kong street food style stir fry noodles with vegetables and black sauces;

Moo choy short rib juice with oriental roots and spices

Classic Thai Green Papaya Salad, Vegetarian Dumplings, Chinese Style Fried Rice.

And to sweeten the palate, chocolate cake filled with green tea ganash, or Thai tea mousse with vanilla sauce.

Some cocktails from the original Kioyu Skylounge beverage offer are: Japanesse Sour: classic sour with shake technique with egg white, yuzu kosho syrup, coffee bitter, and Japanese whiskey; Pink calpis: cocktail with clarification technique based on Japanese calpico, cranberry, strawberry and lemon juice with corn sochu;

Vegetarian Dumpling

Satsuma: cocktail made with peach shrup, sake, lemon grass tea, and grapefruit juice, or Gaijin, made with mezcal, sake, clarified cucumber juice, Midori and smoked rosemary syrup, among others.
