A lifeless man was found in a commercial plaza in Mérida

Last Thursday afternoon the lifeless body of a person was found, which would correspond to of Ricardo Garrido Suástegui, who was reported missing since May 26.

The body was inside a safe store in a shopping plaza on Calle 43 and 40 in the Pinzones neighborhood, in Mérida, near Francisco de Montejo.

That was Ricardo’s workplace, who was the only employee of that store whose headquarters is in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

According to police sources, the now-deceased man arrived in the city several years ago and has been working at the place where the body was found ever since.

This morning, at the request of the authorities, company employees arrived to open the place and upon entering they found the body of, apparently, Ricardo.

So far, the cause of death has not been determined, so it is not known if the man took his own life, was the victim of a crime or died of pathological causes.

However, in the place there is a wide police mobilization for the corresponding investigations; In addition, the place has security cameras, so it would not be difficult for the authorities to know the reasons for the death.

Staff from the Institute of Forensic Sciences of the State Attorney General’s Office have already carried out the corresponding procedures and the removal of the body.
