Yucatán business leaders are preparing various work meetings with the newly elected state authorities and the Municipality of Mérida.
The president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), Levy Abraham Macari, specified that, in the case of the meeting with the governor-elect, Joaquín Díaz Mena, the topics discussed in the “Yucatán Alliance,” a document with 15 proposals on security, education, health, infrastructure, economy, environment, among others, which he signed as a candidate, will be addressed.
In that sense, the business organization emphasized that the meeting will take place in a few days, after Díaz Mena finishes recovering from the injuries he suffered in a road accident a few days before the elections.
“There are two meetings, one specifically with the Chamber of Commerce to see specific issues of ours and the one of the Business Coordinating Council that will be starting from the week, after the 21st of this month, where we will all meet with him,” he explained.
The business leaders’ meeting will also be with the new municipal authorities of Mérida, headed by the mayor-elect, Cecilia Patrón Laviada.
It was reported that in both, the coordinated work of the two levels of government will be requested.
“Regardless of the party, we need them to work together for the benefit of the citizens, both of Yucatán and Mérida because, in the end, what we are looking for is the best for the people of Mérida and Yucatecos,” Abraham added.
