Tropical Wave number 3 will cross the Yucatán Peninsula, generating strong rains with electrical activity, possible hail, and the formation of waterspouts along the coasts.
The National Water Commission (CONAGUA) has reported that this weekend will see a continuation of the rainy weather in the Yucatán Peninsula, further intensified by Tropical Wave number 3.
According to the forecast, from Thursday night to Friday, Tropical Wave 3 will move over the southern part of the Yucatán Peninsula.
This is expected to strengthen the likelihood of rainfall, which is caused by a low-pressure channel interacting with the monsoon trough.
The rains will range from intense to torrential downpours, accompanied by electrical discharges and possible hail throughout this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Likewise, strong to very strong winds are expected, with the possible formation of waterspouts along the coasts of Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
Given these upcoming conditions, it is recommended to stay informed through official channels such as the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) and the State Civil Protection.
