YUCATAN, MEXICO — The Tren Maya project has officially launched a recruitment drive for August 2026, offering job opportunities across Mexico’s southeastern states of Yucatán, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, and Chiapas. Applicants have until August 31, 2026, to submit their documentation for a range of specialized positions.
Open Roles and Key Qualifications
The recruitment call targets a variety of profiles, primarily focusing on engineering disciplines, specialized operational roles, and transport logistics:
- Engineering and Technical Roles: Positions are available for professionals with backgrounds in Electronic, Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Telecommunications, Industrial, Maintenance, and Railway Engineering, as well as Automotive Mechanics, Logistics, and Occupational Safety and Hygiene.
- Tanker Truck Operators (Operador de autotanque): Based in San Francisco de Campeche and Mérida-Teya, candidates must possess a high school diploma, a valid Type “E” federal license, SICT certification, and at least five years of verifiable experience handling hazardous waste and tanker vehicles.
- Intermodal Transport Operators: Located across various station hubs, applicants require a high school diploma, a valid Type “A” or “F” federal license, and a minimum of one year of experience driving passenger vehicles.
Candidates applying for driver and transport operator roles must be native residents of Yucatán, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, or Chiapas.
