- July 9, 2024

The data of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) revealed that more than 438 thousand employees from Yucatan are affiliated with their services, which sparked Mauricio Vila’s joy.

Mauricio Vila Dosal, the constitutional governor of the state of Yucatan, confirmed that over 438 thousand workers from the entity were insured with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS): according to the latest update from the organization.

Through an official publication on his social media accounts, the 44-year-old state leader highlighted that exactly 438,451 employees from Yucatan remain registered in the attention systems of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS); a statistic he celebrated.

Not only because this determination allows ensuring the security of Yucatan workers, but also because its management registers 38 months of continuous growth with IMSS: only in June 2024, 843 people from the peninsula were insured. In contrast to the same period in 2023, the figures reflect a concentrated growth rate of 3.3% with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS): over a constant 365-day period, a factor that was crucial for Mauricio Vila Dosal’s administration.

The lowest point of records occurred at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic: the official graph indicates that, from March to July 2020, nearly 25,708 jobs were lost. Although global recovery is still pending, there are currently 78,043 jobs in Yucatan.
