A photograph of a Va y Ven unit in maroon has intrigued public transport users in Mérida.

Recently, a photograph has begun circulating showing the supposed new appearance of the upcoming units of the Va y Ven Transportation System, which are maroon in color, sparking controversy over whether all the buses will change color.

It was on Facebook where a photograph began circulating showing a Va y Ven unit being painted maroon, different from the current blue ones that circulate in Mérida, Tizimín, and Valladolid.

As a result, users have been wondering if all the units will change to this new color, which has sparked criticism and intrigue.

However, the Yucatán Transportation Agency (ATY) clarified that the only official sources are the state government and Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena.

Regarding the information spread on social media, they mentioned to ignore news not yet confirmed by official sources.

It is expected that in the coming weeks more information will be revealed about the new maroon units, as these correspond to the articulated units that will circulate on the Mérida Periférico, previously announced.

These would be the ones with the new color, while the rest will remain blue, and the BusLab units will be purple, differentiating each one by tone.
