- Yucatan Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal met this Friday 17th with Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State of the United States, who gave a keynote speech at the 86th Banking Convention of the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM).
The former U.S. presidential candidate for the Democratic Party recognized and congratulated the Governor for the work he is doing in Yucatán, especially in the areas of security and the economy, work that, she said, should be made known throughout the world.
“Congratulations on everything you are doing. It is very exciting to be in Yucatán, there are many wonderful things to say about this state and I think that is very good,” said Hillary Clinton.
After her presentation entitled “Yucatán: advantages and opportunities to invest”, Vila Dosal and the former U.S. Secretary of State, who is visiting the state for the second time, held a meeting where they discussed some topics related to the convention and the development of Yucatán.
Hillary Clinton returned to Yucatan
Clinton first visited Yucatan in 1999 with her husband, former U.S. President Bill Clinton. The former senator told Vila Dosal that his work should be shown to the whole world because, “it’s very safe here, people can prosper, that’s a great combination and it’s good that you promote it. Everyone knows about the Mayan ruins and the beaches, but there is more to tell about Yucatán”.
Finally, the Governor thanked Clinton for his visit to Yucatán and presented him with a present with a print of the pyramid of Chichén Itzá.
