The first movement of a Maya Train convoy will take place in the first half of August, assured on Monday, May 22nd, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, during his daily morning press conference.
For her part, Maite Ramos, director of Alstom Mexico, said that the first train, with 72 percent national technology, will be delivered on July 8, after which it will undergo tests to verify its correct operation.
He added that the intention “is to carry out the first dynamic test and put it on the track and thus be able to start doing the 15,000 kilometers of tests that have to be done on this train, so that the first 13 trains are delivered in December, six of them fully tested and ready to operate.
