2084

At the end of 2023, the Mayan Train will begin operations in the Southeast, where it will travel through the states of Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.

Approximately 1,525 km of railways will be built where it is expected that they will attract tourists with specific wagons for different trips.

It will offer a rail transport service that interconnects the main cities and tourist areas of the Yucatan Peninsula, where you can visit various important points in the region.

Where will the Mayan Train pass in Mérida?

Despite being the capital of Yucatán, the Mayan Train will not have a direct arrival to Mérida, since in the entity it will only pass sections 3 and 4 that go from Calkiní to Izamal, and from this to Cancún.

However, to get to Mérida with the Mayan Train, you will have the IE-TRAM transport that will begin operations from the Teya Station in Kanasín to the La Plancha Park.

In this way, the Mayan Train will be connected to the city of Mérida and from there it will be possible to return to the same station to board the transport.
