According to recent surveys, Cecilia Patrón Laviada, the common candidate of PAN, PRI, and Nueva Alianza Yucatán, maintains a significant lead in the race for the mayorship of Mérida. A week before the elections, the polling firm Massive Caller reports that she is the clear favorite, surpassing her closest competitor by nearly 20 points, making it practically impossible to overcome at this stage.

Here are the detailed results from the Massive Caller survey conducted on May 24:

– Cecilia Patrón leads with 54% preference among respondents.

– Rommel Pacheco Marrufo from Morena, PT, and PVEM is in second place with 35.7%.

– Gerardo Ocampo Castro from the Movimiento Ciudadano party follows with 8.7%, and Juan José Stiles Ramos, the PRD candidate, obtained 1.6%.

Massive Caller conducted the survey using an automated “robot” technique, making calls to households that were answered by the respondents themselves. The calls were randomized to ensure representativeness. The non-response rate was 0%, and the rejection rate was 95%.

Other polling firms also place Cecilia Patrón as the candidate with the highest voter preference. For instance, Altica Research has her at the forefront with 52%, which is an 18-point lead over the Morena candidate. Her consistent lead throughout the campaign suggests an indomitable advantage just days before the election.

Cecilia Patrón’s strong performance and widespread support position her to secure a decisive victory on June 2, providing Mérida with another three years of effective governance and positive results for the community.
