Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal welcomed the Governor-elect Joaquín Díaz Mena at the Government Palace, where they held a private meeting to discuss the transition process that will formally begin in August, as established by law.
In this context, Vila Dosal and Díaz Mena reiterated their willingness to work together and in coordination to carry out an orderly transition process, with full respect and dialogue, always prioritizing the interests of the people of Yucatán above any other.
In an atmosphere of respect, Governor Vila Dosal recalled that the transition period, as marked by the law, begins in August and that the State Government is ready to undertake an orderly process that maintains the certainty and confidence that exists in the state.
It is important to remember that the handover is framed within the Law to regulate the Acts and Processes of Handover Reception of the State Public Administration, in accordance with Agreement SCG 35/2024. The legal deadlines for the process begin on August 12 and will conclude on September 30.
