Early Wednesday morning, 101-year-old Don Idelfonso Domínguez Cano, who had been reported missing the previous day, was found. The gathered information indicates that, following his granddaughter América Maricruz’s report of his disappearance, Don Ildefonso was located approximately one and a half kilometers from where he was last seen. He was sitting on a rock, with a cut on his head and lacerations on his hands.
Don Ildefonso was assisted by a municipal police patrol and taken to San Carlos Hospital in Tizimín for medical attention. Fortunately, the injuries, as assessed by the doctors, do not pose a threat to his life.
The search involved around 20 residents of Dzonot Carretero, along with municipal and state police officers. This unanimous effort highlights the importance of community and official collaboration in safeguarding lives.
