- June 20, 2024

Through its new fleet of 10 modern hybrid units, Va and Ven will provide a high-quality service to Cholul residents, continuing the transformation of transportation in the state.

The Yucatan Transportation Agency (ATY) announced that the new Va and Ven route will operate for free during the first week from June 21 to June 30, and starting July 1, users will need to use the Va y Ven Card.

By joining the Va and Ven transport system, the Cholul route will increase from 8 to 10 units, which will now be environmentally friendly and is expected to transport over 22,000 users per week, improving service. The units on the Cholul Va and Ven route will be the Yutung buses with a capacity of 70 people, 30 seats, air conditioning, USB chargers, screens, bike racks, and are trackable through the Va- y-Ven app.

Additionally, to promote universal accessibility, the buses have exclusive spaces for people with disabilities, low-height individuals, and seniors, ramps for wheelchairs, low floors, and braille signage.

The route will cover points of interest such as Mejorada Park, Gran Parque “La Plancha”, Montejo A.C. College, Colonia Mexico Park, International Chef School, Felipe Carrillo Puerto Sports Center, Fiesta Plaza, Sams Club Oriente, Yucatan Bank Sports Center, UNID Campus Merida Vista Alegra, Uptown Merida Plaza, Altabrisa Plaza, Universidad Modelo, Cholul Park, and Agustin Melgar Primary School.

The route will also have a social fare for students, seniors, and people with disabilities, valid 365 days a year. This will allow users to access free transfers and discounts within the first 120 minutes after their initial trip, connecting with any other Va and Ven route.

Users who use this route can make transfers with routes 63 Copó-La Isla, 64 Gran Plaza-Montes de Amé, Metropolitano Circuits, Poniente, Plazas, Universities, and Periférico; and the IE-TRAM La Plancha-Fac. of Engineering route.
