Joaquín Díaz Mena, the governor-elect of Yucatán, met with business leaders today in Mexico City, where he shared his government plans, as announced on social media.
The meeting took place at the facilities of the Business Coordinating Council in the capital, coinciding with a separate meeting held by President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum with representatives from the same sector.
During his session, Díaz Mena, a member of the MORENA party, presented the “Maya Renaissance Plan,” aimed at promoting investment and state development. The plan includes expanding and modernizing the Progreso High Port, boosting natural gas usage in industry and commerce, establishing multimodal connections between the Trans-Isthmus Railway, the Maya Train, and the Port of Progreso, and enhancing tourism promotion for the state.
The former Welfare Delegate expressed his commitment to working closely with entrepreneurs. Images shared by Díaz Mena on his social media account reveal the presence of at least three Yucatán business sector members: Gerardo Díaz Roche from Grupo Logra (one of the companies involved in the Progreso High Port concession), and Andrés Zentella Orgeta and Agustín Menéndez Reyes, representatives of Bepensa.
