The potential path of Hurricane Beryl could impact at least 4 municipalities in the eastern part of the state of Yucatán, as well as 13 more in the southern part of the state. This morning, the probable trajectory of the cyclone’s eye included the southern municipalities of Tzucacab, Peto, Tahdziú, Tekax, Akil, Oxhutzcab, Ticul, Dzan, Muna, Opichén, Maní, Maxcanú, and it would exit into the Gulf within the Ria Celestún Biosphere Reserve.
While the meteor is expected to weaken as it approaches the Yucatán Peninsula, it is still anticipated that Beryl will remain close to major hurricane intensity as it moves toward the central Caribbean and passes near Jamaica on Wednesday, and the Cayman Islands on Thursday.
The impact is forecasted for Yucatan is next Thursday afternoon.
