The Judicial Power: Magistrates to earn over $2 million per year

According to recent changes, judges will now receive more than two million pesos each year. The president of the court will receive a total of two million 478,995 pesos annually, divided into monthly and annual payments, plus a turkey weighing no more than 8.5 kilos.

The judicial power has two types of income: monthly and annual. Monthly income for the president amounts to two million 134,910.52 pesos, while their colleagues will receive one million 827,242.76 pesos per month.

Additionally, they receive meal vouchers via electronic card worth 3,222 pesos per month, with the president receiving an extra 8,960 pesos in cash and 6,840 pesos for each of their colleagues.

In December, judges receive a bonus: the president receives 210,457 pesos, while colleagues receive 180,581 pesos each. The recent “compensation” payment will also be added to their monthly income, totaling around 99,600 pesos for the president and 85,000 pesos for each of their colleagues.

Another annual payment is the vacation bonus, worth 26,305 pesos for the president and 22,572 pesos for each of their colleagues. In Christmas, all staff members, from judges to janitors, will receive a turkey weighing no more than 8.5 kilos.
