Yucatán is undergoing a transformation as ten new projects are set to revamp the urban image of the Santa Clara port in the municipality of Dzidzantún. Mayor Ismael Aguilar Puc announced this development, which will also attract prestigious restaurant chains and create job opportunities.
These projects mark an extension of the ongoing real estate developments that began in Progreso and have now reached Santa Clara. Currently, the port has 150 residents, but with these investments, it is attracting new national and international inhabitants.
The coastal area of Yucatán, from Progreso to San Felipe, is experiencing a similar transformation. In Santa Clara, construction is underway, impacting the port’s development and job creation. The mayor predicts that within six or seven years, Santa Clara will be a different place, with improved infrastructure and a significant influx of national and international tourism.
These real estate investments not only create jobs but also benefit the municipal center of Dzidzantún. Local businesses are thriving as newcomers consume goods and services.
As the area grows, public infrastructure improvements will be essential to support the expanding population in both Dzidzantún’s municipal center and the Santa Clara port. These improvements include water supply networks, parks, and community spaces.
