UMÁN, YUCATAN – An argument between drivers early Saturday, April 25th, ended in tragedy.
One of them, after getting out of his vehicle to confront the other driver with a baseball bat, was run over by the other motorist, resulting in his death in front of his family on the Mérida-Campeche federal highway.

Officers from the Umán Municipal Police and the State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) arrived at the scene and found a white pickup truck with Campeche license plates parked on the side of the road.
Several people were found near the vehicle, one lying on the ground. Upon examination, they found he no longer had vital signs, so they requested assistance from ambulance Y-70 of the SSP (Secretariat of Public Security), whose paramedics confirmed the man’s death.
