MÉRIDA, YUCATAN — Current and former employees of the local retail corporation BOMSSA are facing severe intimidation tactics designed to silence them following the high-profile arrests of three former co-workers, Sol Yucatán reports.
The internal crisis began after a May 5 police operation led to the detention of three workers who reportedly held sensitive operational data. Witnesses claim a secondary “campaign of silence” has since emerged to prevent the leaks of internal irregularities. Employees report being coerced by corporate leadership to back the company’s official narrative under threat of job loss or legal retaliation.
Fear has intensified following reports that a corporate legal advisor warned workers that investigations could extend to their family members.
According to whistleblowers, this widespread intimidation strategy is allegedly being orchestrated by prominent businessman Liborio Vidal Aguilar, accountant José Carlos Magaña Navarrete, and BOMSSA’s legal representative, Susana Alexandra Vidal Cañetas.
Sources argue the legal charges against the imprisoned trio were manufactured to systematically discredit anyone familiar with BOMSSA’s hidden practices.
Sol Yucatán noted that future reports will uncover deep-seated internal allegations involving staged self-thefts and insurance fraud that the corporate circle is desperately trying to suppress.
