Passengers of the Spanish airline traveling on the Madrid-Mexico City route will be able to take advantage of the network of domestic destinations that Viva Aerobus offers from Mexico City on connecting flights.

Likewise, customers who want to travel to Madrid via Iberia will be able to connect with the Mexico City-Madrid route by making the first leg with Viva Aerobus on a connecting flight from any of the destinations that the Mexican airline offers to the International Airport of the City of Mexico (AICM).

With the agreement, the Spanish airline will be able to market Viva Aerobus services from Mexico City to 19 other cities in Mexico in connection with these flights: Guadalajara, Cancún, Monterrey. , Veracruz, Mérida, Tampico, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Tijuana, Hermosillo, Oaxaca, Huatulco, Torreón, Puerto Escondido, Ciudad Juárez, La Paz, Chetumal and Mazatlán.

“In Iberia we have always opted for Mexico as one of our strategic markets both from the point of view of tourism and business traffic. As demand has intensified, we have accompanied this reactivation with an increase in capacity very close to the pre-pandemic supply. With 19 flights a week, Mexico City is the metropolis with the highest number of frequencies in the entire American continent. Now, thanks to the codeshare agreement with Viva Aerobus, we will be able to offer a better service to our customers and greater capillarity with a wide range of destinations within the country”, commented María Jesús López Solás, Commercial Director, Network Development and Alliances at Iberia.

It should be noted that Iberia operates the route between Madrid and Mexico with its most advanced and quietest aircraft on the market, the Airbus A-350/900, 35% more efficient in terms of fuel consumption and with a capacity for 348 passengers.
