The Mérida Carnival 2024 will feature parades and large musical presentations and concerts. Know all the details.
Mérida, Yucatán, is one of the best cities to live and visit in Mexico, as it has a rich culture and natural beauty. For this reason, the Mérida 2024 Carnival will be unforgettable, to continue making this destination a national and international reference. “Re-Evolution, from Fantasy to Innovation,” is the motto of this great event that is part of the celebrations for the 482nd anniversary of the founding of Mérida.
At a press conference in Mexico City, Mayor Alejandro Ruz Castro presented the program of activities and artistic events for the Mérida Carnival 2024. He highlighted that Mérida will proudly celebrate, shortly, in 2024, the 482 years of its founding, positioning itself each once again as a cosmopolitan and avant-garde city in the eyes of the world.
“The Mérida Carnival 2024 is our great popular festival that unites us around various events that we celebrate with this essence of tradition, but always innovating and seeking healthy fun for families,”
Precisely the theme of the Mérida 2024 Carnival is “Re-evolution, from fantasy to innovation”, which gives an idea of the line of development of this celebration that has crossed borders, attracting national and international tourists, who are looking for new entertainment options.
On this occasion, as in the last edition, a Music Festival will be integrated into the carnivals, also free of charge, with rhythms of different genres for the enjoyment of attendees.
The celebration of the tenth anniversary of “Ciudad Carnaval” will also take place, a public space that offers greater security, comfort and services to families.
By establishing itself as an event of international scope, the Mérida Carnival 2024 is also an economic and tourism engine, generating direct and indirect jobs in the entertainment industry.
In the 2024 edition, internationally famous artists will attend, such as the Arrolladora Banda El Limón and the band Matute, who have great appeal among audiences of different ages.
In the case of Mérida, among the parades and troupes, the Regional Night stands out, where the typical costume and traditional music are the main protagonists.

Corsican Friday (February 9): Wanders Lover
Fantasy Saturday (February 10): Miguel Martínez and Alexandra Fretes
Bachata Sunday (February 11): Cecilia Galeano, Kim Flores and Fuzz
Regional Monday (February 12): Freddy and Germán Ortega, “Los Mascabrothers” and Mariana Echeverría
Battle of Flowers Tuesday (February 13): Eugenio Siller, David Ortega, Alex Sirvent and Tefi Valenzuela.
Mérida Carnival 2024 will have great musical events
Added to all of the above is a daily cultural billboard, with mostly free events and shows.
Within the framework of the coronation of the kings of the elderly, motor disabilities and intellectual disabilities, to be held on Saturday, January 27, the Muziek Grand Band will perform at the Carnival Pavilion, which will have Caló, GB5, Peewee and Lalo Gameros as guests.
On Saturday, February 3, at the end of the coronation of the kings of the Mérida Carnival 2024, attendees will enjoy the performance of the Arrolladora Banda El Limón, while Merenglass will perform at the Quema del mal humor.
Likewise, the Mérida stage, in “Ciudad Carnaval”, on Saturday, February 10, will vibrate with the performance of the group Matute, while on Sunday, February 11, the duo Ha*Ash will perform.
The festivities in “Ciudad Carnaval” will close on Tuesday, February 13 with the presentation of Nicky Jam.
