The 10th Edition of the Maya Rally is about to start a multi-day journey through the Yucatán Peninsula, with the participation of over a hundred automobiles from different eras coming from various states of the country, including our own.
The rally will be visiting various tourist interest points, in a unique caravan full of nostalgia and great memories that fully embody the event’s motto: “The Pleasure of Traveling Through Time.”
When does the 10th Edition of the Maya Rally start?
The official starting flag-off marking the beginning of the journey (First stage from Mérida to Campeche), will be this Sunday, May 19, at 11 AM.
The location will be the parking lot of the Institute of Higher Studies and Sciences of Yucatán (ICESY), on Av. Miguel Hidalgo between 40 and 46 in the Roma neighborhood of Mérida (Between Juárez hospital and Plaza Las Américas).
The participating vehicles began to gather this Friday.
Exhibition of Participants in the 2024 Maya Rally In a press conference held this Friday morning at ICESY, it was reported that this Saturday, May 18, from 10 AM to 10 PM, the exhibition of the participating cars will be open to the general public for free.
This is so that lovers of these four-wheeled gems can take a close look, take a souvenir photo, and travel back in memory to the past, recalling when these cars were commonly seen on the streets and roads of the locality.
The exhibition includes vehicles from the 1920s to the present day, with a special participation of local clubs presenting Volkswagens, Mustangs, and Mavericks.
There is also a large number of Mercedes Benz from various periods, and even Porsches and Ferraris.
