ISSSTE workers closed Alfredo Barrera Avenue in the Pensiones colony early this Monday morning to demand better working conditions from the federal government. The protest includes substitute medical personnel, nurses, and administrative staff, among others, who are asking for regularized payments and recognition of their years of service.
With signs and slogans, they demand that their requests be heard and assured that they will not move from there until they receive a response to their demands.
These health workers join the teachers, who also participated in protests last week, to demand the payment of their promised labor increase in May.
The ISSSTE health workers also denounced alleged corruption and embezzlement of resources by the head of the Elvia Carrillo Puerto Regional Hospital.
