Currently, the PRD is going through a liquidation process by the National Electoral Institute (INE), after failing to reach 3% of the vote in recent elections.

Now that the election process for new authorities in Yucatan has concluded, it’s time for citizen groups to register their political parties at the state level. However, one organization announced on Saturday that it will request to be established as a local political institute.

According to Article 11 of the State of Yucatan’s Political Parties Law, any group seeking to become a local political party must inform the Institute Electoral and Citizen Participation (IEPAC) in January of the year subsequent.
