The government of Yucatán announced that it will start working on traffic mobility projects over the Periférico of Mérida as of this Monday. Due to the works to improve the zone’s traffic flow, the government has announced the closure of the Periférico with 42 South Street starting from this Monday.

Through its social media channels, the announcement was made about the upcoming works that will take place in the next few days. Therefore, as of today, Monday, the closures will begin, which are expected to be completed by Wednesday the 17th.

As a result, drivers are asked to take precautions such as taking alternative routes or leaving early to avoid any incidents during their transit through the capital city. It is also worth noting that two years ago, the traffic signals were changed in the area, and the second change has been implemented at the intersection of the Periférico with 42 South Street, where vehicles crossing under the bridge must come to a complete stop and those traveling on side streets will have priority.
